It is with a great deal of pride and anticipation that we publish our new web site.  The Chattanooga Woodworking Academy (CWA) is about keeping alive the craft of woodworking.  Here at CWA, we are developing the next generation of woodworkers, the individuals who will carry on the tradition of hand-working wood towards some useful purpose.   Whether it is furniture, cabinetry, carpentry, or log cabins, it takes knowledge, skill, and patience to find and bring out the best qualities of wood.  Our students will be exposed to all of these disciplines, discover their own best qualities, and with training and experience, become masters of their craft.

CWA has been in operation for over two years and already has made significant contributions to our greater Chattanooga community.  We have built log cabins, including a recreation of historic Poe’s Tavern in Soddy-Daisy, TN, made some very fine furniture, and put our students to work in the local woodworking community.   We have a vision for where we want to go and big plans to get there.
